Home Tuition for Learning Alliance Students in Lahore

We teach Learning Alliance students on both sides of the school: Cambridge, from Class I through O Level and A Level, and the International Baccalaureate at Learning Alliance International. The two systems are taught and assessed very differently, so the first thing we do is confirm your child’s campus and programme. Then we match a tutor who already teaches it.

Most families come to us for one of three reasons: a dip in grades after a test or mock, a subject that has stopped making sense, or an exam season that needs a clear plan. Our tutors rebuild the weak topics, practise past papers and mark schemes with your child, and help them walk into exams with more confidence.

Learning Alliance at a Glance: Key Facts for Parents

Before we match a tutor, it helps to know how the school is organised. These details come from Learning Alliance’s official website and Learning Alliance International.

  • Cambridge Class I–VIII: students follow the Cambridge (CAIE) junior programme and move into O Level in senior school.
  • O Level: a three-year programme with five compulsory subjects (English, Urdu, Pakistan Studies, Islamiyat and Mathematics) plus three electives from a Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering or Humanities group. Additional Mathematics can be taken as a ninth subject.
  • A Level: a choice of seventeen subjects, taken through the staged route: AS Level in one exam series and the full A Level the following year. The school registers for the June series, with results in August.
  • Aitchison Blue Stream (Aziz Avenue): Preparatory Blue, Class I Blue and Class II Blue prepare children for admission to Aitchison College in K2 and K3.
  • IB at Learning Alliance International: an IB World School authorised for the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), Diploma Programme (DP) and Career-related Programme (CP). PYP 1 starts at Class I and MYP V corresponds to Class X.

Cambridge and International Baccalaureate Pathways at Learning Alliance

A Cambridge student at Learning Alliance builds towards final O Level and A Level papers marked against a fixed syllabus. An IB student is assessed through criteria-based tasks, internal assessments and coursework as well as exams. That is why we never send the same tutor profile to both: a Cambridge tutor works through topical questions and past papers, while an IB tutor works with the criteria and helps the student plan and improve their own work.

How Roots Matches Tutors by Cambridge or IB Requirements

  1. You tell us about your child. Share the Learning Alliance campus, class or programme, subjects, recent test or mock results, your home area, preferred timings and whether you prefer a male or female tutor.
  2. We shortlist suitable tutors. We match by curriculum, subject experience, location and availability, and share each tutor’s qualifications before you decide.
  3. Your child takes the Free 2-Day Trial. The tutor teaches two lessons at home before you pay anything, so you can judge their explanations and your child’s response.
  4. Regular lessons begin. We agree the timetable, subjects, monthly fee and how you want progress updates, then the tutor starts working through the weak topics.

If the tutor is not the right fit, tell us and we arrange another suitable option.

Why Choose Roots Home Tutors for Learning Alliance Students

  • Tutors we have checked: we review each tutor’s identity, qualifications and teaching suitability before sharing a profile, and we tell you which checks are complete.
  • One-to-one attention: your child learns at their own pace, with time to ask the questions they would not ask in a full classroom.
  • Lessons built on schoolwork: our tutors work from your child’s own textbooks, assignments, test dates and syllabus.
  • Free 2-Day Trial: you see the tutor teach before committing to regular lessons.
  • Progress you can follow: we agree starting priorities with you and share regular updates on topics covered, improvements and next steps.

What Our Students Work Towards

Our goal is steady, visible progress: weak topics rebuilt, homework finished with less help, stronger marks in class tests and mocks, and the confidence to attempt unfamiliar exam questions. Closer to exams, we shift to timed past papers and mark-scheme review so students know exactly where marks are won and lost.
