Home Tuition Around Lahore Cantt
A tutor needs to be able to reach your home consistently. Share your neighbourhood, nearby road or landmark so we can assess travel time alongside subject expertise and your preferred schedule.
You can ask about locations around Sarwar Road, Tufail Road, Aziz Bhatti Road, RA Bazaar and Cavalry Ground, as well as the Walton Road and Super Town side. These are enquiry locations, and a tutor’s route and availability must be confirmed for your exact address.
For Askari or DHA addresses, tell us the society, phase or sector. Nearby areas can have different travel routes and entry arrangements. If your residence has access requirements, discuss them before the trial.
Not sure which area to select? Send your nearest landmark on WhatsApp and ask us to check coverage.
Tuition Matched to What Your Child Studies
The same subject can involve different textbooks, assessment methods and exam requirements. Share your child’s board, class and current course materials so the tutor can plan relevant lessons.
Primary and Middle School
Request help with reading, writing, Mathematics, English, Science and Urdu, including support with schoolwork and preparation for class tests. Lessons can address one difficulty at a time, such as fractions, comprehension or explaining answers clearly. Share the textbook series and teacher’s feedback when requesting a tutor. See our Grade 1 to 8 tutors.
O Level and IGCSE
Ask for a subject tutor for Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English, Computer Science or commerce subjects. Provide the examination board and syllabus code so the match reflects the actual course. A useful lesson plan combines explanation, topic practice and feedback on exam questions. See our O Level tutors and IGCSE tutors.
A Level
For AS and A2, specify the subject, exam session and topics requiring support. Families can request focused help with Mathematics, Sciences, Economics, Business, Accounting and Computer Science. Agree whether the priority is catching up, deeper understanding or timed paper practice. See our A Level tutors.
Matric and Intermediate
For Matric, FSc or ICS, share the relevant board, year and subject combination. Ask for a plan that balances textbook understanding with written practice and preparation for the student’s actual assessments. See our Matric and FSc tutors.
IB Support
Specify the programme, subject and level when requesting an IB tutor. Availability depends on finding the relevant specialist. Support should build the student’s understanding and independent work; assessed submissions must remain the student’s own. See our IB tutors.
Choose the Right Lesson Focus
Homework support can help a student establish a routine. Topic tuition can address recurring gaps. Exam preparation can organise revision around the time remaining. Tell us which of these matters most, and bring recent work to the trial so you can assess the tutor’s approach.
Tell Us Your Class and Subjects
We’ll discuss suitable tutor options for your Cantt locality.

How Matching and the Free Trial Work
- Share your requirements. Tell us your Cantt locality, class, board, subjects, availability and any tutor gender preference.
- Discuss suitable options. Review the proposed tutor’s subject fit, experience, checks, fee and ability to travel to your locality. Ask questions before agreeing to a visit.
- Arrange the trial. Your first two lessons are a free trial. We confirm the dates, duration and scope with you; the start date depends on finding the right tutor and a time that suits you both.
- Decide whether to continue. Discuss how clearly the tutor explains, how your child responds and what the next learning goals should be. Agree the regular timetable and fee before paid lessons.
If the fit isn’t right, tell us and we’ll replace the tutor free of charge; how quickly depends on availability.
What to Check Before the First Lesson
Every Roots tutor goes through identity (CNIC), degree and teaching-interview checks. Ask us which checks apply to the tutor proposed for your family, and how their background relates to the subject requested.
A qualification alone does not establish the right fit. During the trial, look for clear explanations, suitable questions, punctuality and a realistic plan. You should understand what the student will practise between lessons and how progress will be discussed.
For a child’s home lessons, agree the teaching space and adult supervision arrangements. Discuss contact and scheduling through the parent or guardian. Raise concerns promptly with the Roots team.
A Clear Plan After the Trial
Ask the tutor to identify the starting point using recent work, then agree a small set of priorities. For example, a student might first practise solving linear equations accurately before moving to word problems. Review completed work and school feedback to see whether the plan needs adjusting.
We check in with you every month. Use that conversation to discuss attendance, teaching fit and what the student can now do independently. Learning outcomes vary; no tutor can promise a particular grade.
Support Aligned with Your School
Tell us the school name and campus, along with the syllabus and assessment schedule. Families may ask about support for students attending Lahore Grammar School, Beaconhouse, The City School, Garrison schools or other institutions. The match should reflect the student’s actual course materials rather than assumptions based on a school name.
Share the relevant book list, recent test or teacher’s topic outline before the first lesson. If a school changes the order of topics, tell the tutor so that tuition can stay useful alongside classroom learning.
Roots Home Tutors is an independent tuition service. Naming a school does not imply a partnership, endorsement or employment relationship with its teachers.
Why Start with a Trial
The trial gives you a practical way to judge whether the tutor can communicate at your child’s pace. Bring one difficult topic and ask the tutor to teach it, then check what your child can explain or solve afterwards. Agree the next steps together before regular lessons.
