About Iqra Azam
Iqra Azam is an early-years teacher with a BS (Hons) in Persian from Lahore College for Women University. From 2021 to 2025 she was a Montessori class teacher at The National School, responsible for young children’s daily learning: basic reading, writing, numbers and general knowledge, taught with Montessori materials and hands-on activities. Before that she taught at Rosans Islamic School (2018–2021).
She has also spent a year as a private home tutor, teaching young children one-to-one at their own pace. Her lessons use games, flashcards, puzzles, role play, real objects and stories, so children learn by doing. Phonics is central: letter sounds, blending simple words, rhymes and word-building games. She checks homework, sets small tests and keeps parents updated on progress, manners and confidence.
